Join us in celebration September 1, 2026 as Traditional Sacred Tobacco Day at the Minnesota State Capitol Mall.

We are proud to celebrate and recognize Traditional Sacred Tobacco Day. This year marks the 48th anniversary of the American Indian Religious Freedom Act, which repealed the 1883 federal prhibition on using traditional sacred tobacco.

The event begins with Traditional Tobacco Ceremony followed by songs, speakers and lunch until gone.
